They damaged my scalp & hair for years to come

When we go to a hair stylist, we are trusting them to know about the products they are using and how to apply them. Hair stylists have a state license which tells us they had school training and passed the state board’s test. With most industries, there is also continuing education so professionals can stay current with new products and procedures.

Latitude Loft boasts about having a quality training program, but it seems oversight is missing. If the owners ensured all staff was trained on products, I would still have my gorgeous mane of hair.

Here’s the overview:

1) The stylist who told me she would learn about a product before using it on my hair but did not follow through.

2) After a root touch-up, she used the product as if it was a conditioner rather than a 5-minute intensive treatment. This stylist is known for her head massages after she applies conditioner, so she massaged the product into my scalp instead of it being applied root-to-tip only.

3) I was then placed under a hot hooded dryer for 20 minutes… much like stylists do when they want to boost the effect of a conditioner.

4) My scalp was burning, hot and itchy! It was very red and sensitive to the touch.

5) A week later, my very long, thick hair started to fall out. My hair was stripped and very damaged. I had no idea how serious the trauma was at that time.

6) The salon owners and the stylist conspired not to help me, so as not to take blame. They tried blaming the product, my health, etc., but I had tests done to prove them wrong.

Fast forward to today:

1) I lost 85% of my hair over 18 months. What is left is shorter, thin at the bottom. (Think of a mushroom.) Most of the straw-like texture hair has fallen out. The straw-like texture was some of the most damaged hair I had ever seen.

2) Regrowth is continuing. It’s frizzy and hard to tame. MEDICAL DOCTORS SAID IT WOULD TAKE 4 TO 7 YEARS TO SEE IF MY HAIR RETURNED TO ITS ORIGINAL STATE PRIOR TO THE SCALP BURN.

3) My scalp is still sensitive but not nearly as bad as it was for 18 months.

4) After 20 years of wearing my hair straight, I now have to extremely limit heated tools. I also have to limit root touch-ups so I often have inches of gray roots. They stripped my hair and they stripped me of the ability to wear my hair the way I desire.

After giving the stylist and the 2 owners plenty of time to “do the right thing,” their response was, “Sue us!” I did, and they are so guilty they can’t even honesty answer the legal discovery questions.

They were negligent. They conspired not to help me. And now they are conspiring to hide from the fact they screwed up my hair for years!

Is this the type of hair salon you want to go to?
